Energy Medicine is seen as a complementary therapy that stimulates the body’s natural ability to heal itself. By restoring balance to the energy body, it is believed that the recipient’s overall well-being can be enhanced. A session is a collaboration between the practitioner and the recipient and the individual plays an active role in their own well-being. Many people report positive outcomes, such as reduced stress, increased relaxation, and improved overall well-being, after sessions. While there is limited scientific evidence to support its effectiveness, energy medicine may be a complementary therapy that some people find beneficial. This method is practiced in many hospitals, medical settings and private practices around the world. Energy Medicine is for everybody and for all the different stages of life. It is, however, important to consult your healthcare professional before a session to rule out possible contraindications to any pre-existing conditions. 

As the practitioner channels energy, the recipient may experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation. The energy is thought to work on multiple levels—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual—promoting a sense of balance and harmony. During a session, most clients feel a sense of peace and relaxation and are placed in a gentle, meditative state. This method is so relaxing that some clients may fall asleep but continue to receive all the benefits of the session, sleeping or awake.

Sound is an energetic vibration that can awaken your heart, your consciousness, and your cells – to facilitate deep healing and transformation on all levels from the physical to the emotional and spiritual.

For centuries, civilizations across the globe have used music, sound, and vibration for healing.  This includes many ancient tribes, indigenous peoples, and healers.  Tools vary from drums, flutes, chimes, and even the human voice.  In a session, the bowls and tuning forks are struck or sung to produce soothing vibrations and ambient tones. The energy produced by sound and vibration is not only heard by the ears but is experienced by every cell in our body.  Our bodies are made of around 65-70% water and sound waves travel faster and more effectively in liquids than in air, and even more effectively in solids.  Therefore, when you immerse yourself in a sound healing experience, you are experiencing the effects at a profound level, rapidly inducing the body’s natural relaxation response.

Many ancient cultures — including ones in Egypt, Greece, and China — believed that crystals have healing properties. The electromagnetic charge within each stone is said to offer healing vibrations as they work to remove blockages around the body and restore the natural flow of energy. The belief behind crystal therapy is that individual stones such as amethyst, rose quartz and jade have the ability to communicate with the energy flow of the human body and help to realign the energy channels that are interrupting the natural flow of the body and help it heal itself.
